The lake is 20 hectares in area, and highly elongated: its length is 1,050 metres and its maximum width is 330 metres. The shoreline is 2,350 m long. The maximum depth is 43.5 m, and the average depth is 13.1 m. A large part of the bottom is sandy. 70 percent of the lake's shoreline borders a forest, and 30 percent a park. Oaks, 80 to 120 years old, beeches, birches and alders are common. The shoreline is relatively simple. Water is transparent to a depth of 4 metres. Littoral extends for 5 metres and covers 2 percent of the surface. There is a narrow strip of submerged vegetation along the entire length of the shoreline. The flora includes Canadian waterweed, watermilfoil and hornwort (Ceratophyllum).
